Sam did'nt make it. He suffered kidney failure last night and had to be euthanized. It was extremely heartbreaking to say goodbye to such a beloved pet. My daughter is inconsolable. She has spent the last 3 1/2 years loving him, showing him in shows, taking him everywhere. He was ball obsessed and would play fetch forever...

I am so sorry about your loss.  I lost my 1st dog a couple years ago and never thought I'd get over it.  Getting another one helped my family so much.  But, everyone is different and only you and your family know what is right for you. 

Your poor daughter.  I really feel for her.  The fact that Sam was posioned makes it so much worse.  I sure hope you find out who did that to him.

oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.  I've lost pets too and it's a horrible experience.I'm so sorry Ginni. Whoever did this NEEDS to be found. They have commited murder. I just can't stand hearing about things like this. It's just not FAIR. :( I wish there was something I could have done to help....but I know that's kind of silly. My thoughts are with you.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I'm so sorry about your dear Sam.

The cruelty of the ones responsible for doing that to him, is incredible. I sincerely hope that they are found and prosecuted.

Oh, God, I'm beyond sorry for you. My second dog also died from
deliberate poisoning. This can't help you right now, but I do know
exactly how you're feeling. Losing them to natural causes is hard
enough, but deliberate murder is just beyond comprehension.

I'm so, so, so sorry.

Ginni...I am so sorry to hear this.  My heart breaks for you, your family, and especially the Love Sponge.  My girls cried when I told them Sam did not make it. 

I really hope they can find who did this.  Too bad the same fate can't happen to him that happened to Sam.

This brings up a flood of memories from our cat that was poisoned the same
way. I'm so sorry. I do hope you find whoever did this. It was obviously
intentional. One of the things our vet told us at the time was what seemed
to help children is to get another pet. It will never be the same pet and your
memories will always be there but a new pet will help to heal your wounds.
And there are so many pets waiting to be adopted out there. Please keep us
posted on this. Again, I'm so sorry. :(I'm so sorry for your loss.  I hope your family is able to grieve for Sam and heal with the memory of his love.      Ginni--i want to add my condolances. i can only imagine how awful you & your family feel. i have  a  9 y/o Golden--she's my third . I am sure Sam was as special as mine have been.  I really hope you can nail the people who did this.  Lou

Oh my goodness, this is so sad and brings up many memoeies from our "lucy who had to be laid to rest this year due to liver na dkidney failure and bleeding . It is so hard that I have not gotten a new pup thus far.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I had to go through that recently as well and it is heartwrenching.

Know thatyour baby is in doggy heaven getting lots of lovins and lap time.

There's just nothing else to say, but I am so sorry and just heartbroken for you.
