Until I see my FRIGGIN RD.
There *will* be hostility in this post. I hurt. I'm EXHAUSTED. And I'm just plain freaking burnt out.
I woke up this AM and couldn't move my entire left arm. CAUSE THAT'S ALWAYS EFFIN FUN.
Try the sling. If it gets worse - dump the sling. They like to put my neck out.
Can you lie on your side with the fat arm proped up on pillows so that it is higher than your heart? - I'm thinking it might take the swelling down.
Would you have Justin look for a bug bite? It doesn't sound like RA with the entire limb swollen and it does not seem like a pinched nerve because they usually do not cause limb swelling, either. Are your lymph nodes in that armpit all swollen?
I don't like this at all with the dizziness. Go see a doc if it gets any worse.
It's been like this since December. On and off. Just.......today was uber bad. No bug bites, and I have *no* idea how to tell if I have swollen glands there............where are they?Just feel for lumps in the armpit - lymph count and position very among folks. Think about golf ball in the arm pit.
Lymph are responsible for fighting infection - you can have big lymph just because you have RA (I had one on my neck that looked lousy, kinda like a marble, when I was 33 - but I hurt all over - nothing worse about my neck.)
Have to be a friggin genius to figure this stuff out. It probably isn't gonna kill you if you have had most of this since Dec.

here try that and see if it helps any Katie
Well gee that's real comforting. l am sorry you are miserable. My armpit is too puffy to tell.......... :|Katie, can you up the mobic?
I hate to say it.....but.....you did jinx your self by saying or writing that you feel good.
Take it easy and I hope you feel better soon. Your appt will be here before you know it.
LOL yes I jinxed it. I know, I know.Has your RD suggested Humira or Enbrel? NSAIDs can only do so much, and when they do work, their purpose is only to lessen the symptoms, not actually supress the disease. A DMARD can actually help slow down the progression of the disease itself, which will go a lot farther towards alleviating pain than ibuprofen or naproxen.
With every word you typed I felt your frustration. Been there...I think we all have. It's good we have each other to vent to, who understand. I sincerely hope you were just having a "bad" day, and that those are fewer and farther between in the future.
My *first* RD appt in 5 years is Monday April 16th.
