hello gamma,,,back home safe and sound, the trip south has taken me four days to get over, jet lag, etc. have appt with eye specialist tomorrow, still having problems with sight only at night, got back late on Sat. went for acupuncture for neck pain on Monday no relief so far but have to go back for 5 more treatments. Thanks for the prayers etc. and your kind words, sorry not in touch until now but have not been feeling well at all. Still on demerol and Tylenol Arthritis, since Feb. without relief from pain. I do hope your appt with the eye specialist goes okay...will be thinking of you...aloha...gmamahi gmama went to specialist,,,,,is making appt. with retina spec. should take about 6 mos. wait time. he isn't too sure what is happening except macular degeneration doesn't know if it is wet or dry kind at this point,,,,didn't seem to know what's up. Told him I don't drink or smoke, he just laughed and had his hand on the door handle as if to say bye bye. He just asked if I was still on pred. and gave me no reply when I said I have been off it for 6 mos, with 18 mos on it. So here we go again up in the air and suffled off to someone else. My goodness, for a specialist he certainly is not that helpful. I am so sorry...waiting around is the hardest thing of all. I do know that one form of macular degeneration is treatable but can't remember which one it is. It seems to me it would be advisable to find out which one you have and get started on treatment as soon as possible if it will respond!! Sometimes drs are just so blase about stuff. I am not familiar with the health care system in Canada but can you get a second opinion? In the meantime, prayers and hugs your way with wishes for a Happy Easter...gmama
