Marathon Training | Arthritis Information

I'm already having trouble remembering what week I'm on so I'm just going to call this marathon training.  Yesterday we walked 80 minutes along the American River (hills and all).  I think the hills are the worst for me and this morning I'm sore but I'm still glad I'm doing this.  We are starting early in the morning now because Sacto has finally started getting hot (100+).  This year the heat was late.  Gee, I wish the heat never got here but I'm glad for some relief.

Today is MTX day so I'm sure I'll be tired tomorrow.  I'm so glad it is a holiday and I can get some extra rest.  I'm also going to start back with my yoga (i've been saying this for a week now).  I watched my new tape yesterday and it made me feel good just watching it so I know I need to get back to it.  It is really joint friendly (on most of the poses).

The truth is that the most important reason for me to doing this marathon training isn't to be in a marathon but I did promise I would try a half marathon.  I truly am hoping to lose some weight.  However, this is a bad weekend.  My daughter's 16 birthday was yesterday and we ate out and had cake.  Today and tomorrow are barbeques and food will be everywhere.  Thank goodness we don't have parties every week or I'd be in worse trouble than I already am.

Have a good 4th everyone and stay safe!

Cristene,
I really think that you are amazing.  No way I'd attempt this.  Despite the parties making things tough, you are doing great. Don't overdo it in the heat though ok?
hugs, wayney

That's great, Cristene! Keep up the good work
