My friend was diagnosed 6 months before I was (about 4 years ago). We haven't been in touch for about 6 months and I just saw her. She is in full remission. She is off all meds and has lost 42 pounds. . Hang in there. I was in remission at one time too but had to stay on the meds to keep myself there. It does happen.
I am happy to hear of your friends remission and even more happy she is in remission without it being med induced!
Remission is possible for a good bit of us if it is caught and treated early enough. We all strive to be in remission, and hopefully a good many of us will experience remission at one point or another throughout the years of having this disease. I know I have been in at least 3 remissions (2 preggo induced and 1 teenage). I would love to go into another remission, but I probably will not, unless it is med induced.
I hope you will be able to go into remission, it could happen! Keep your chin up there is hope.
