FOR EVERYONE WHO POSTS ON HERE | Arthritis Information

As more and more people log onto AI due to the increasing amount of people being diagnosed with RA, OA, FIBRO Etc I feel its time to say that we should stop with the "nasty postings" replies and concentrate on welcoming and getting to know the newbies and helping them with their problems and supporting our existing friends with theirs.

Our friend Roxy has had a stroke and gone through so much pain and heartache and this puts things into perspective regarding what is important and what is not.

There is a lot of non- RA related fun on here which is great, we meet so many people from diffrent cultures and walks of lives and this gives us such an insight into the rest of the world. One thing we all have in common is living with a chronic illness, living with hope, depression, pain and the feeling of inadequency through loss of our "old lives" but we support each other no matter what.

If someone posts a nasty topic and its personal to one or two people then maybe it would be better to PM the offender than to feed his/her ego publicly.

I have found it hard not to reply to the nasties especially when they attack my AI friends but all this hatred is stopping other people from staying on this sight and getting the help that I was given when I first joined.

I completely agree PinCushion.  Onward and upward!!!

Dang. I was hoping this thread would be more about ferretts....

I'M KIDDING. I'm sorry. I agree, and I know I haven't behaved. But I promise from now on, I will.

All we need is love...dun da danadan all we need is love love....lol had to add a song Deanna's post: They want some of the love and kindness but don't know how to obtain it. Maybe we can keep that in the back of our minds as we see these posts appear.

Deanna, don't we all at one time or another want the love and kindness you speak of?  But, we do not lash out at others on the board.  Look at what you and Roxy have been thru and you have never been unkind or rude to any of us. That shows real class Deanna and Roxy. I think that these dysfunctional  people owe everyone an apology.
now & then39180.3054282407I think I will take a break for a few days from this sight as the nastiness is back .People are even questioning the illnesses of our friends and people are too scared to post incase they get mistaken for saying something else..........will it ever stop? probably not but will we ever realise that the more we reply the more we feed the ego's of warped minds. A break is as good as a holiday so I am going to take a holiday from AI

Pin Cushion, your posting makes me so sad.  I can certainly understand why you feel the way you do - I have felt the same on more than one occasion here.

Please don't be gone long - we need you here!  We need to stand united here - not as some exclusive group, but as people who genuinely care about one another.

I agree Hillhoney.  Pin Cushion - You are the one that made me understand why others misunderstood me.  You are very insightful and full of compassion.  We can't let mean people take AI away from us or separate us.  Please stick around.  I am up for ignoring nasty posts.  They will go away.  You - Please stay The goods??? The Bads??? Oh brother...... Come on why cant this be a good place to get information and help others.

ROXY,

No one is trying to take AI away from anyone. It should be used for what it's meant for, and not ranting on and on about personal social and relationship issues.

Just my humble opinion so keep your claws in ladiesI just wish people had the guts to be honest about what they feel about this
board. Why PM? Just say it. No one is going to show up at your house and
kill you. State your opinion. If they hate you for it, so what, that is their
problem. I'm not the most popular person on this board but I don't care. I
have a life outside this board and I don't post most of my life for all to read.
I post about something I'm excited about or when I have a question or want
to raise a point that may affect those of us who have RA. Daisy has raised
some good points on the board this week and I'm sure many who read,
agree with her. Thank you daisy. I love to come on here and read. I have
come to be fond of a few of the members here and will continue to read
posts. I will also continue to engage in the subjects I fine interesting and
ignore the rest. I just want to say thanks for this board. The posts can get
hairy and challenging but I feel it is worth while. Thank you Lorster. I love to come on here and read and learn too!!!!Pincushion, I don't want to see you go.
