Numbness in both arms then pain when the feeling comes back.  anybody feel the same

Where does the numbness start in your arms?  RA can also affect your nerves causing them to be inflamed.  Your best bet might be to call your rheumy and get a referral off to a neurologist.  It starts it the top of my arms down to my wrist.  Should have told my rheumy today about this.  Next visit

dear Rosemarie, I had this big time about a month ago. I've been taking prednisone, mtx & remicade and now I have escaped that awful pain. My RA went ballistics after an operation in Dec, couldn't get back on the RA meds seriously for almost 2 months. It was awful. Once I started with the prednisone I felt better and i'm hoping the other RA drugs will 'work' and I can get rid of the prednisone. The pain of this disease is un believable, I know, and I'm sorry it is getting you. You many want to call soon and let the doctor know.

Definitely check it out. You could also be starting neuropathy. One thing that does help is to where wrist splints at night. Be sure to talk to your doctor before doing this. Also, ask him about the benefits of taking B12.

Do something about it. The potential problems need to be addressed early on. Carpal tunnel is also a possibility. Don't just let it go.

Thank you all for the input I will follow up with my rummy.

I feel so horrible all the time.  My back is a new problem for the last month.  Can't sit, stand or walk too long.

The problem with me is that I don't look like anything is wrong, so when I go to my Rummy and I sit in the office and look at all the people with walkers and canes, I feel so guilty so I don't really tell the doctor how severe my pain is.  I feel that I am just being a complainer. I look at these people and think "wow and I think I got it bad".

I'm on Humeria shots 2x's a month but the pain is constant.

pain cant always be seen by others. i know when my hubby parks in the disabled spots and i put my ticket on the dash, i get some really nasty looks . some days i cant even walk 10 meters without being in extreme pain. but people think you have to have walking aids to be dissabled. so dont think you are not as bad as the ones that do. only you know how much pain you are in
