The last week for me has been filled with the happiness of having our home filled with the laughter of our children and grandchildren and a whole lot of other family here for Easter.  Also, have been on the road quite a bit because my mom and my mil are both in the hospital with pnuemonia and they are both in hospitals about two hours in different directions from our home.  Life is good though for the moms will both be released from the hospital in a couple of days.

Also, the MIL of our daughter underwent surgery yesterday and will be unable to help watch the grandchildren we take turns watching for the next six weeks. Watching them will take up a lot of my time but I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Today is mine - all mine - so decided to catch up with the board and to my dismay the kibbitzing and bickering, etc. hasn't let up. The following are my thoughts in regard to the board at this time.
________________________________________________________
What has happened to our "RA Family?" Family laughs with us; shares our difficult times; supports us in our times of uncertainty; listens with an open heart and an open mind; agrees to disagree because nobody agrees with each other 100% of the time; shares in our times of grief; gives us the support we need to face each challenge we face; and the list is actually endless in a family that genuinely cares about each other.

So why the attacks on others motives, ideas and different points of view at any given time?  We all to some degree face the anguish of our lives being turned topsy turvy by RA.  This is a fact we all acknowledge.

As with all families there are members who are very open, others who tend to be rather reserved and others who are somewhere in between. Our RA family has another dimension many other families don't deal with on a daily basis and that is not having people to reach out to who understand or at least make the effort to understand our fears, the side affects of our meds., at times our feelings of isolation, etc.

So how about each of us try this: "Engage heart before speaking."

I agree. All this commotion really breaks my heart.

I agree, I was trying to get people to look at their behavior after I was attacked for no reason, but it has fallen on deaf ears. Maybe I have gone about it in the wrong way,but I hope I have given others the courage to fiinally post and be able to share in this closeknit community. So many people read this board for information and have not felt comfortable to lend their voices and everyone has something to share that can help someone!!!

Been wondering where you been watchingwolf. Glad to see you were not posting because you were with your kids and grandkids and having a great time. Sorry to hear about the mom's, glad to hear they are going to be released soon.

Hope you have a very good time watching your grandkids and I know you will cherish the time you will be spending with them and they will too. Hmmmm -
