OMG I'm going to loose my mind.....So we got water yet again in the basement.. This time much worse then any other time we have so far. So i called my landlord, and somehow he is shocked that water is comming in...umm HELLO?? the foundation sucks and there is a crack in one of the pipes what do you really expect??? So he came over the look at what is going on and he is having a plumber come out today to look at it and to tell him how much it is goin to cost and if it is going to cost to much, he is going to end up tearing down the house. Which means we are going to have to find a new place to move to.. WHICH SUCKS!!! We werent expecting this at all so we havent saved any money. Winter + Construction business= crappy pay checks.... So im flaring big time seeing as how i was walking around the basement in water w/ bare feet and my husband had the back door open becuase we were using the wet/dry vac as much as we could to get the water out and he was dumping it outside. So, yea im crabby today to say the least, so just forewarning yall He has to give you a certain amount of time to move. Besides, it takes permits and whatnot to tear a house down and those take forever to get. In the meantime, I guess it is save, save, save.
My landlord never sent anyone over to look at the pipes. I guess we don't rate like the idiots downstairs when we call and say something is wrong. That is ok, if it ruins my washer, they will have to get me a new one. Hopefully it also won't ruin what I have stored down there.
so the water is offically covering my feet. Just went down to see if it had gotten any worse and well when we move or when he gets this fixed im gonna have to get rid of my bookshelf, the couch and the thingy the tv sits on...There are a couple other things that we ware gonna have to get rid of but we were gonna get rid of em anyhow. and the plumber has yet to show up, but i know as soon as i get in the shower hes gonna knock on my door. thats just what happens. Now if my stupid landlord wouldve had someone come look at this ohh like 2 months ago maybe i wouldnt be having to get rid of alot of crap that is down there..I would take pictures. The trouble with landlords is they act like their not responsible for what goes on if they dont live there. He should pay for all the stuff you lose. Especially if he knew about the problem 2 months ago.Yea im gonna tell my husband that..and when he gets home im going to have him take pictures too since the camera is in the work truck well we'll see. My husband talked to the landlord and said we would talk about it when he got home.
