Nodules | Arthritis Information

 

I have a new nodule:  isn't it pretty...

What do you all know about nodules.  Do they go away?  Get bigger?

Get painful? (more painful)

Any information would be appreciated    thanks

Ouchie!  (((hugs)))  I don't know too much about nodules.  I have never gotten any.  I've had noldules slowly disappear over time..and some that don't. kelstev39184.2574768519Based on the one for sure I have...they do get gradually bigger and yes they gradually get more painful.  Mine is about the size of a lima bean.  Now I have noticed my middle joint on my left hand trigger finger is pooching out on both sides...kinda like the bottom of a pear and also on the right side of my right trigger finger.  I am not sure if that is a nodule under there or just the joint swelling, but it is not going down.  I will find out more on my next office visit hopefully on my xrays.  This is all new to me so not sure if I am the expert on them.Heeeyyyyy.........


Thanks for posting that pic! I'm sorry that you've got a new one, but you just validated that what I've been staring at on my pointer finger IS a nodule!


Oh my day's just off to a kick a$$ start......LOL
I've got a couple small ones that I didn't even realize I had either until another person showed pictures on another site. None of them hurt me.....and so far they haven't gotten much bigger; but they can....and they can hurt too. (From what I hear anyway)Ouch - that looks like it must hurt.  I have had 2 and both went away on their own.

If they get ouchie, get a shot (cortisone)? I forget. I had one of those on
my big toe and it hurt, but then the toe ouchie went away.I started out with a nodule on my foot the size of a dime and found out that I had 15 more around it.  That is how I found out I had RA.  I wish I had a picture but I don't.  I know now that I wont get the other nodules removed (pain)!!!!!!  I will be on my feet and a sharp pain runs through my foot and up to my brain!  SUCKS!!!!
