Dear folks,

was the new drug for Arthritis pain by Merck Company rejected by the US-Food & Drug?

It appears so.  The FDA advisory panel voted no because it didn't show significant improvement over existing therapies and it poses cardiac risks.  Here's a link to one article:

I read that yesterday.  I told my husband I just want my Vioxx back...forget the new stuff!  Although it would be my luck to get a heart attck once I restarted it.  I was on it for 6 years, I think,  without any problems.

Dear Shandi, interesting comment you just made about Vioxx, as I took that drug several years ago. I have just had a heart problem which the docs say was 'inherited', so do we know? This is all a mystery, isn't it?!
