My two girls wanted to be in on things this morning. Phoebe has just been out digging in the dirt and Shandy cant be bothered, shes like me, it takes her an hour or so to get out of her bed

Love all these gorgeous dogs - is the terrier a Westie,
Cairn or Highland - I always get them mixed up but I have a Border Terrier and am a real terrier fan, not that your other dog wasnt gorgeous too.Yes my little terrier is a west highland and a little gem.she is the most affectionate little thing. My other dog is a big softie but she is nearly 10 and has a bit of arthritis in her back legs. The westie keeps her on her toes though Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh before my friend got a westie, I thought they were annoying little dogs. LOL But then they got him, and named him Brodie!!

My family is considering getting a dog. I've been fighting it; but I'm coming around. We can't quite agree on a breed. All the boys want a big dog and my daughter and I want a small dog. I think we're getting out numbered by the boys though.

We're thinking of a Labradoodle. Does anyone have one of those? It's a cross between a lab and a standard poodle. Their real furry' but they don't shed. Supposed to be real smart too.

I'm not sure though.....pets seem like a lot of trouble. I'll admit I'm not looking forward to another thing to have to take care of; but my husband swears he'll do the majority of the work.

Oohhhhh they are so cute!!!  I love seeing other peoples pets!I have a dog named Shandi!!! Mine is Shandi with an I because she's named after the KISS song. Love the doggies!

cute cute cute!

My daughter just put a deposit down on a chiwawa puppy (taco bell dog can't spell it). It is so little and cute. They're not supposed to shed either. Guess we'll find out. I tried to post a pix but didn't come through. We named her Lexie Lee. We get her on the 23rd. She has been weaned for 2 weeks now. She goes to the vet to get her shots on the 20th. The owner emailed my daughter pix and painted Lexie's nails pink. LOL

We haven't had a dog in about 10 years. I am ready for some companionship at home and look forward to getting her.

OH how sweet are those guys!  Thanks for posting the photos, they are so adorable.  I'll have to get myself in gear and take some pictures too.

I could never live without dogs.  We have 4 now, plus my "granddog" which comes to visit.  Ceasar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, talks about the power of the pack, and it is so true.

Each dog has a role to play and a place in our little pack.  And they all rely on each other and love each other so much.  And our cat thinks he is part of the pack.  When they go out, he goes out, right along with them, then when they come in,he comes in.  Watching the dynamics of their pack is fascinating, and I honestly feel it is much easier to have more than one dog, don't you pincushion?

And I travel with the pack as well.  Whenever I go to the bathroom, along come the 4 dogs and the cat.   I haven't been to the bathroom alone in years!  Everywhere I go, they go.  Sitting here at the desk I have furry bodies all around my feet, I actually have no place to put my feet!  And I love it!  How could I have a bad day, when these clowns are around?

I had also heard that labradoodles didn't shed but I was reading a description of  one the other day on petfinder.com and the rescue organization mde the point of saying that every labradoodle that they encounter has shed.    You might check with a lab or poodle rescuue group to get the real story.  I would think a rescue group wouldn't hedge the truth

My best dogs have always been muts saved at the dog pound. My bro has a pit bull mix from the dog pound. Gus started out as a fence jumping juvenile deliquent but became a grand dog and the house favorite by the time he was 2. Love and consistant discipline is all it takes to have a wonderful animal friend. Lovie they really are worth the trouble.

Buck; I've heard that some do shed; depends on their bloodline I think. You're right.

That's what I'm hearing M. I've had pets before.....but I don't have much time like I use to and it would have to be a lone during the day which worries me.

These dog pics and stories make me want to go out and get a dog, but I am not sure if I could handle the walks, etc.  I have an indoor cat and she is delightful and easy to care for. Not sure I want doggypoo in my yard either.   I grew up with westies, they are wonderful dogs who seem to stay in the playful puppy stage! I have a toy rat terrier and then two big dogs. This morning son said someone tied up a black lab to the door of the firestation. I am so tempted to take it in, but hubby said 3 dogs and a cat are enough for now. I know he's right, but I'm a sucker for unwanted dogs...
