Man comes home from work, finds his wife stretched out ill on the sofa. What's the matter, honey, he says, aren't you feeling well?  I'm afraid not, says the wife.  I must be coming down with something, and I haven't got our dinner yet.  Don't worry, says the husband, I'll get the dinner, you just stay right there and rest.  He goes into the kitchen, bangs some cupboards, then returns to the living room. Honey, excuse me, I looked for the dinner but I couldn't find it. Where do you keep it?

Good night all, my fingers won't work any more,

sarah

Hey! That sounded like my hubby before his mom stopped cooking so much for us, because she went back to work.

Now hubby does most the cooking, since he is sooooo PICKY! Leave me to cook, he would starve because I would make something he would not like.

My ex would always complain about how my kitchen was not perfectly clean like his mom's and his sister's who both didn't work. I did work between 50-60 hours a week.

Finally after 3 years of marriage I asked how did he survive before he married me. Ate at taco bell. Some time later, he admitted that both his mom and sister only cooked holiday meals. Otherwise they only did take out. After that, his complaining privileges were permanently revoked.

Last argument was over whether or not I was bringing home something for supper. Not. I left and never came back. It was what he requested. He said that if I left, don't bother to come back. I didn't. Stupid fool then stalked me for over two years. He must have lost his way to Taco Bell.

I would love to have a husband that enjoyed cooking. It would be such a rare and beautiful and most appreciated pleasure.
My husband is a great cook......he gets the BBQ out and thinks hes a boy scout

But I try not to complain, because at least he's cooking!

LOL hillhoney!  I think we married the same guy!  My hubby is the weekend breakfast cook too.  And, oh, the messes.  I quit complaining though as I don't want him to quit cooking!  He is out there finishing homemade sweetrolls.  Can hardly complain about that!!!My husband doesnt do much cooking except for in the summer/fall when we cook out on the grill.. thenim not allowed near the grill. Now my dad..he is an awesome cook

My sweet husband has been doing all the cooking for the past 2 years. My back and hip are so painful when I stand for more than a few minutes, that he just started doing the cooking.

Before that, he would help me a lot with the holiday meals. But since he started cooking he has also learned how to make wonderful pies, cakes and cheesecake. He started out asking me how to do certain things, then he got out my cookbooks and got very creative!

Occasionally, if I'm feeling pretty good, I'll put a roast, potatoes and carrots in the crockpot, but my hands are so bad, I can't peel the veggies, so he'll do that for me.

I got him a big Kitchen-Aid mixer for Christmas

I really miss cooking for him and the kids when they come over, but that's just one of many things I can't do much anymore. He says I took care of him for twenty-five years, now he gets to take care of me.

What's kind of funny is that he's not real big on barbequeing, like most men are.

Hugs to all,

Nini

I do most of the cooking he does his own breakfast though.  I laugh because I make his lunches for work and everyone drools over them, because they are the leftovers from the suppers I make.  Most of the guys at work endup doign mickeyd's or bk.  He does do the grilling thing and when he realises I am hurting and tired it is take out time!!!   meme Danny is a great cook.  He said when he waws a bachelor it was learn to cook or starve lol.  He makes an awesome breakfast too.  We girls beg for him to make his omelettes on the weekends he doesn't work.  He will still cook dinner on the weekends too when he is home.

I grill out tho.  The "master" taught me how lol.  Now he is teaching Arielle.
