I had to buy a new pillow, my current one is flatter than a panny-cake! It makes my neck hurt and shoulders stiffer when my pillow wears out.

Joonie, you must buy a new pillow more often

Have you tried one of those shaped ones that fit into the curve of your neck?

wow, one of my pet peeve's...today's pillows are AWFUL and never last. And I refuse to buy a 0+ down pillow just because.

I end up buying all new pillows 2-4 times/year anymore.

BTW, i did by a lower end memory-foam pillow recently and LOVE it but want a firmer one next.BreckLundin39186.0094791667I bought an ergonomic memory foam pillow from Costco for and it's
great.Joonie, I hear that Buckwheat pillows are very good.  I did a Google search "Buckwheat Pillow"  and had a quick peep at the first 3 or 4.  Prices were ranging from around US to US. (U.S. Sites).Obviously there will be more expensive ones as well  - but no good for my budget!! Some were on special. One of those sites had Memory Foam Pillows as well around I think.  They are very expensive here.

Buckwheat pillows are long lasting and might be worth a look!  It is soooo hard to get a decent pillow without it costing an arm and a leg, but these lower prices didn't seem too bad.

It seems if you can add the words "organic" or Ergonomic" to products these days, and add $$$$$$$ to the prices!!

So, MYO - You can also buy buckwheat hulls (or Husks) quite cheaply, which is what they make the pillows from, - I have been trying to get some of those here in NZ - but no luck yet.  I wouldn't think it would take much expertise in sewing to run up a cover.

Take care and sweet dreams

I bought one of those ergo memory foam pillows and did not like it, my neck always hurt when I used it. I gave it to one of the kids. I have used a down pillow for the past several years and it seems just fine. I also use a pillow that I made from batting from the fabric store and I did make my own cover for it and it is a very comfortable pillow. It was kind of neat cause I made it for sitting up in bed and it turned out to be a very comfortable pillow! Good, comfy pillows are very hard to find. THe one I made is so cool cause I coudl make it just as fluffy as I wanted.

Macy had them on sale this week but I did nto get in there to buy one, their pillows were 1/2 off. I think the sale is over now...darnit!

mia

we got me a memory foam pillow from Target and i LOVE it!!!  I noticed a huge difference in my neck pain the first time i used it

I have a pillow my 2nd daughter made me from batting that you get at the fabric store.  Very comfy.  I am thinking about a memory foam pillow.  The pillows you make with the batting are very inexpensive to make and she hand sews them with thread that looks like fishing line lol.  the nice thing about those...you can use some neat materials and have pretty pillows!  She made mine in the shape of a heart!!!Someone (a guest) at the hotel bought a BRAND NEW like 0 beauty rest pillow, used it one night, and the forgot it at the hotel. They called me and said they wanted the pillow case, because it was satin, but that I could have the pillow. Threw that sucker in the wash and kept it!!!! LOL It's the *best* pillow I've ever had!!!! I bought a real expensive down pillow and I love it. They are spendy, but so
worth the xtra bucks. Katie, that is a great deal. I once watched this
program on the worlds most expensive hotels and there is one somewhere
that actually makes down pillows for each guest, stuffed and everything.
This place was like....10,000 a night or some ridiculous amount like that.
Oh well. The Hilton is nice.Until you get that wonderful new pillow, try washing it. It will puff the pillow back out. But these pillows everyone is describing sound wonderful. you know the comment about washing and a nice long time in the dryer reminds me that we started using pillow cover/protectors (not pillow cases but a cover that the pillow fits inside then you put the case over that...).

Anyway they really do help our pillows retain their fluff. I guess it is because it keeps the pillow in a bit smaller area. I think we use a queen protector around a king pillow...plus we can wash the protector every week and it keeps the pillows from getting stains, musty or whatever if you perspire at night.

Buckwheat is too heavy.  I'm a down pillow girl.  I sleep with 9 of them, lol.

cooozzzzy....

Katie.......I want my dang pillow back.    LOL

CinDee LOL.  That is great.

I sleep with a bunch of pillows too.  But Danny likes one pillow and to sleep flat.  Which is fine with me!!!

My pillows are in sad shape. I sleep with 4 flat ones that = 1 pillow!

i saw on an Oprah show that if you fold the pillow and it doesnt spring back up its time for a new pillow....yea thats the only thing i have ever remembered from an Oprah show

We've gotten lots of neat things from this hotel!! Anything left after 30 days is "abandoned"

We got a digital camera!! How cool is that??

I have heard of the buckwheat pillows, and I think one of my sisters got one and said they were not that comfy. But I have not seen them around here. I have seen the memory foam pillows, but they are a little on the expensive side.

I cannot have a pillow that is too fluffy. Middle of last year, I bought 2 new pillows, both different. I slept on one one night and it was too fluffy and I woke up stiff and neck/back hurting. Then the next night I slept with the other one, but hubby's fat head had already flattened it a little

I wish I could afford some expensive down feather pillows. I use to have one when I was a teenager that my brother bought me for christmas because that is the only thing I wanted. I had that thing for years, but when I got married I had to get rid of it because it was too big for our bed. Yeah, hubby complained that my pillow took half of his side of the bed... the BIG BABY!

for anyone with cold feet, checkout brookstone.com. they have goose down
slippers. i bought some in boston and they are very soft and warm. i bit
pricey but i don't have cold feet anymore.
