ONE Touch can opener/terrific!!Thanks | Arthritis Information

Dear folks, opening cans by myself has become a chore, so I asked the forum about can openers and a few were suggested. Thanks so much! I bought the One Touch 'space age' battery operated one today, after we figured that it cuts below the RIM, we finally understood how it worked. It was at a local department store, less than KMART (Sears) wanted. I love it!! Thanks again everyone.

It is a must!I love my "One touch" - I have not been able to open a can with the usual style can opener in years!

i got one for christmas its great but must change batteries after about 13 openings. no more being afraid of opening cansI struggled to open 3 cans this evening with a manual twist rim-type opener.  This One Touch sounds good, but does anyone know of a good electric one?  I have bought two and they were junk and bought the manual one, but now it is too painful to use.  Any more suggestions?I love those openers that cut under the rim. We have a hand turn opener right now but it has all sorts of gears and oversized grips to make it easier for me to use. I think it's a Zyliss brand opener.

The ones have looked at also roll the edges so they are less likely to have sharp edges. If you have vision probs or even kidlets running around that seems to be a nice feature.

Thanks everyone for the help with this. One thing is if there is a lot of ligquid in the can it cuts below the rim an makes a mess (tuna). I don't know how to clean this can opener? The tuna smell is still there? But, it works great on everything else I open and I lovvvve the independence from having to ask my husband 'please open this' all the time! When I cook I want to be able to open my OWN cans!! Don't know what I'll need, right?!

krups makes a good electric one.  I can easily use it even with severely involved hands and wrists.   buckeye39187.7332175926
