I'm curious to know how your appointment went with your RD. Did he take you off MTX?
Hi Lovie. Well, time to get used to a new one. He took me off of mtx and I am starting sulfasalazine. I am going to start a thread asking people who have used that to give me feedback. In one month, I start Humira!!!!! Thanks for your concern and will check back in soon.I have taken Sulfersalzine before....and I'm currently a Humira/MTX user and as you know I've had really good results with both. I hope you'll do as well.

Hi Lovie, I am concerned about Sulfersalzine and sun sensitivity. I am one of those lucky ones that tans easily and never burns. I am hoping this means I will not be as sensitive to the sun. When we are traveling next week, we plan on going to the beach at least once. I don't want to worry about sunburn or have a bunch of goop on me all the time. Maybe I should wait to take it or I might just take it and find out just how sensitive to the sun I am. The worst that can happen is a sunburn right?not exactly. I'm like you and tan easily as well but the time I reacted badly to it it was a really bad stinging sensation on my skin...quite different than an ordinary sun burn. I'd definately use sunscreen and you'll be fine. Don't be overly concerned....but certainly be aware.
