Nodules?? | Arthritis Information

Do these only grow near a joint? I've had them on my hands in the past, seems like they were near a joint. Anyway, I had something that was very similar below my eyebrow for maybe the past year and it has been really bugging me, I was going to ask my dr. about it at my next appointment and then just like the ones on my hands, yesterday, it disappeared. Was it a RA nodule? Or wishful thinking, because if I can do that there are some other more important things I better start wishing for. Or am I really the knuckle head my dad used to call us? Have you gotten nodules that aren't near a joint?

DeidreI got one on my R elbow just about the time I was diagnosed with RA. I
picked at it until it was gone and was told not to do that again. Sound like
that is what you have. Mine was about the size of a pencil eraser and kind
of squishy. I know you can get them on your ankles and behind your knees
too. I have one right next to my achilles tendon.  Mine is also the size of a pencil eraser and squishy.Mine was just as you described, size of a pencil eraser and kind of squishy, but having it by my eyebrow made it seem more the size of a cantelope. Do they only develope near a joint? The ones on my hands were always near a joint.

lots of pop up ads but really good info

I have never had a nodule. Do they go away ever? Thinkthinn--nodules can come and go.  I had one on each elbow, but they went away after I'd been on MTX/Enbrel for a little while.  I still have nodules at the base of each of my thumbs.  They've been there for quite awhile, so I doubt if they'll be leaving any time soon.
