I am also HLA B27 positive, i also have RA....i was told that a year ago. Since then i have had other symptoms like Iritis, and the back and neck pain...my xrays of si joints were normal. But consultant went off my symptoms and family history and he has said it looks like i have AS too!I am also positive for HLA-B27 and have PA & OA. My si's, fingers and spine are mostly affected. Sometimes it takes awhile for damage to the SI to show up on x-rays so treating the symptoms prior to seeing damage is key. I too may also have AS but if I do my current meds also treat it.
