Had my first appt. on Monday. Am to return in 2 weeks for expected diagnosis of RA and treatment plan. However, I need some advice from you "pro's" about MTX. It is my understanding that MTX is a small-dose chemo drug. I am pretty sure that is one of the chemo drugs I took 10 years ago for breast cancer. Has anyone else taken MTX for cancer and now has to take it again for RA?
I haven't had cancer before...BUT...I do know of a few cancer patients that are taking it but at a much higher dose.
