I said forget it, got off all their meds from arava, to ultram, prednisone, celebrex etc. and went to rhummy on last monday.

(still waiting on blood tests)

But, finally since i was off the drugs, all my inflammation in the joint area which was caused by them was gone.

Only problem is my muscles are totally flaired up.

I have been tested before for ms etc. but no muscle disorders.  I have been telling them all along when my stomach acts up, everything else does.

So now what?  I wonder if I will every find out what is wrong.

At least no more RA.

Odd part is, she is not sure why i had a factor, that is the confusing part.

There are no real tests for fibro.  Fibro sux.  Could it be fibro?  We all hate the unknown - hope you get it figured out.  I can't help but be a little envious that it is not RA.  Maybe it is something that can actually be cured

I'm glad you don't have RA and hope they discover what is wrong soon!

I have a positive RA factor too, but not RA. I, also, have a boarderline ANA, but I don't have Lupus. I do have OA and CPPD,(false gout). I have alot of muscle pain that I can't find the cause from. Whatever is going on I wish that they would find out what it is.

Have you tried a gluten free diet or been checked for celiac disease? It's
quite common.
Good for you, I'm glad the pain and swelling is gone in those joints without the rollercoaster of 'meds' , that was a hand full you were taking. I do hope your can find out what this is and get to treat it real soon. good luck, sarah Great news that you have been able to get off the "cocktail" but sorry about the muscle pain.  Maybe they will be able to track it better now that you are off the drugs??  Hope so for you anyway.  I have constant burning muscle pain just in my arms, from the wrist up to armpit, and it's been a real mystery. It was the first sign of something not right - the one that sent me to the Dr., who eventually thought Polymyalgia, cos that is muscles. and who then referred me to the Rheumy when a different pain and stiffness spread into my joints.  Rheumy dxd sero negative RA with what they call polymyalgic features of Polymyalgia Rheumatica.  But the RA drugs are not touching the muscle pain. Dammit!!  My upper arm muscles seems to be totally tensed up all the time as well - like fully flexed.  I look like Popeye the sailor man!!  Toot toot  Kiwilass239194.1369791667
