I woke up totally stiff this morning. I am down to 2mg of pred. Usually
this happens when it is going to rain. But this has been a beautiful
day. last week after my doc visit my doctor called to tell me to stay
on 2mg for a few more weeks. My sed rate was up. Now I am wondering if
I will ever get off the pred.
this really depresses me.
Has anyone gotten off when they thought they never would?
What other meds are you on? I'm on mtx10mg ( 4 pills) and enbrel. I'm concerned he might up the dosage on the mtx. I'm trying to rely on aleve more than take more pred.
Yea maybe you would need to up the mtx to help with the stifness. Why are you concerned that he might want to up it?

I wouldn't worry too much about the mtx. My daughter took as much as 15mg when she was 13 with no problems. I think you are safe from serious side effects as long as you don't drink and you are getting the bloodwork regularly.

Hi, sorry to hear of your stiffness. this is such a long boring process, you may have to take another prednisone!! Sorry to say that, but that happened to me and I HAD to take more. I got a big jult of REMicade Thursday, 3 times what I got before, and am on 6 mtx, so that's a lot more 'stuff'.......I'm headed for 'zero' preds myself, .....we'll see. Gradually, everyone says. sarah
