take care smile and live every day to the best you can

love anne

Welcome to the board!!  I am glad that prednisone helped you out and the pain is way less.  Hi Anne, you have come to the right place, and you seem to have the right support, it's great that you got into see a rheumy that quickly, be careful on the pred as it really does give you an appetite.  I am still on it after 7 years but I am complicated, so do as you are told, make sure you rest enough, exercise gently and eat well, best of luck, Janie. Glad you're here Anne. Welcome!Hi Annie. I'm sorry to see that one more person has come down with the
wretched disease. But anyway, welcome to the forum. This is a nice place
to come. Hi and Welcome Anne, am so glad that your  pain has subsided.  Prednisone is the love/hate drug.  One day you love it and the next (when you step on the scales) day you hate it.  Hi Anne...

Sorry to hear you are suffering so, hope you feel better soon!
Hi Anne...welcome!

I'm so glad you got relief from 10 preds!! They are miracle drugs.

I'll be looking forward to your posts,Sarah

Hi Anne, and welcome.  I'm also from downunder - just a little bit further downunder than you!.  Next stop Antarctica!!

Here you will find wonderful support from wonderful people, who are all suffering with this awful thing. It's great that you were able to get that quick diagnosis (well, kinda - I mean not the diagnosis that anyone wants really, but you know what I mean)

Good you got such instant relief from the Prednisone, as Linbee says, and we all know, a real love/hate relationship!!

welcome!!! Sorry your havin a hard time right now.  Feel free to vent away.  Thats what we're here for :DHi Anne and welcome!  I am sure glad that the Prednisone got the pain under control.
Anne: So happy to make your acquaintance although the circumstances are less than ideal.  You do sound like sixty-eight years young and I know just how devastated you were to be dxd with RA. I'm sixty-two and lived like I was twenty years for twenty years too long and RA sneaked into my life through the back door, too, and about three years ago I got the dx.

I came to terms with RA quite awhile back.  There are others who deal with multiple sclerosis, diabetes, etc. and so forth and though they are chronic and life altering for sure these diseases aren't who a person is. So, it's acceptable to admit to having a bad day or two or more and that it time they to shall pass; it's better to let people know how you feel inside and out rather than let them assume they know what you're dealing with and judge you wrongly; don't be too proud to say, "no", if you must for it's your responsibility to take care of yourself; and Listen To Your Body!!

Again, nice to meet you and I'll be looking for your posts.  Take Care

love anne

Dear Anne, the best I could do, had trouble remembering what comes next and kept bumping into the people next to me, was ALVIRA, do you know tht music? It is a hoot. Don't know who signs the song, do you?  I know tht 'knee' feeling, it is really, very painful. Glad you are continuing with your groups. Our social life.....Sarah

hi anne, i'm an aussie too. from south australia . mannum on the river murray. i have psoriatic arthritis. some good days but mostly bad. i take arava and tramadol for the pain. i am trying to cope on the max dose i can have as i dont want to go onto anything stronger. i have a friend who takes methadone for back pain. so i dont want to go down that path unless i have to. the rain at the moment is so good to see for our dying river but it does no good for my pain. sorry just meeting you and already having a moanAnnie, You probably hold the record for how soon anyone got to see a rheumy. Sorry you were in so much pain. Welcome to the board.

I'm a newbie too! Isn't this a great group!! So thankful I found them!

I agree with the others--You sound like such a hoot to be around! I think it's WONDERFUL that you're so involved with the dancing- how fun!! You remind me so much of my Aunt Bette who was big into clogging (?) for a long time---I think arthritis has made her stop now though...

Anyway- hope to get to know you better!
