Nausea and tired | Arthritis Information

I have been on MTX and enbrel since last July. I have not gotten worn out and nauseated the day after like I have been reading about in this forum.
All of a sudden it is happening. I am feeling soooo tired and some nausea with it. Geez I could sleep all day. I dont even want to think about cooking supper.
Last week it was not as bad as today.

Is it possible to just hit me like that when all the time it has been fine.

Could you have a bug that rears its ugly head when dosed with an immune suppressant?

While it is totally different I became allergic to the nsaid Bextra after taking it for 18 months (whole body case of hives). So yes I think it could happen, but I hope not.

More folic acid or luecovorin might help. Or a change in the time of day that you take it, so you can sleep thru the worst of it?

I started to feel really rotten about 5 or 6 hours after taking it - unfortunately it lasted about 3 days, and being at least a little nausous seemed to be permanent so I switched to arava. It have been great except for a little case of the trots the 1st 2 weeks. I started out really slow at 10mg - no loading doses. I think I've been on it 4 years and only bumped the dose up to the usual 20mg last Dec. Still OK!

I guess i'll have to wait and see. Also, if this happens again next week.
Lorster, yes maybe it is a bug. but you know , I feel a little better this last hour.
My bones are a ltttle achy but heck it's really damp and rainy weather and if I was having a flare you would think the pain would be worse.

I get like that when I'm completely exhausted. It hits really suddenly, so quick I refer to it as 'Hit by a Bus syndrome'! But it is possible to suddenly react to things. Maybe you should take a few more doses and see how it goes. Work out if you're doing anything different on the day you're taking MTX or if you recently upped the dose of that or another med.

When im in a flare the worst thing is the tiredness and i get nausea too.Sorry to hear you arent feeling well, i hope you are better soon
