Worst haircut EVER! | Arthritis Information

I really, really adore my hubby. I'm coming off a really bad week which
has involved a lot of stiffness and brain fog (just changed anti-inflams as
the others had stopped helping) and I am hurting ALL over. Even places
that don't normally hurt, like my hips. Anyway, Friday night he takes me
home, draws me a nice hot bubble bath, helps me in, chats to me, lets me
soak, helps me out and suggests he takes me for the haircut I've been
meaning to get for weeks but never got around to. So on Saturday we go
to the hairdressers and I tell her what I want. Because of the sjorgrens I
can't wear my contact lenses anymore, so I took my glasses off so she
could cut. BIG MISTAKE When I get out of the chair and put my
glasses on I see that I look like a cross between a boy and a mushroom
head. My hair is now drastically short and I hate it. My hubby also hates it,
but he feels awful because he intended to cheer me up, and I ended up
crying A day later I'm over it, it's only hair and it'll grow back. And
I'm appreciating my hubby for his efforts to make me feel better I
think we'd be lost without people to support us.

So thanks guys for listening to me and being my support awww hun :( sorry to hear about your bad haircut, its gonna be alright. Your hubby sounds so sweet hehe. Im glad you have a great support system. Indeed it does make a world of a difference hehe. I hope you feel better soon *big hugs*

There's nothing worse than doing something to cheer yourself up and having it make you feel awful. I've been there and done that on the haircut bit. At least hair grows back pretty fast. Your husband sounds like he takes good care of you.

Now it just makes me not want to get my hair cut. I, like you, have been wanting and talking about get my hair cut for weeks, but have yet to do it. My hair is down to the middle of my back and is really thin on top, due to coming off of MTX. My hair is all the time falling out, but not as much as when I first stopped taking MTX. I have hair balls all over the house...lol...mostly in the bathroom.

I have not ever really let my hair grow this long, I let it grow because I was pregnant and I wanted to see how long my hair would grow while being pregnant. Well, it did not grow that much when I was pregnant just got a lil' thicker, but it really started to grow after my pregnancy.

I remember when I let my hair grow out one other time before when my daughter was 4. It was a lil' bit shorter than it is now and the hairdresser did not really want to cut my hair, she kept asking if I was sure I wanted to cut it that short. I was like yeah, I do not really care about my hair, I just let it grow this long because I was too lazy to get a hair cut....lol.

I have had one good hair cut in my life that I actually liked and I did not even ask for my hair to be cut like that either...lol. I have never been able to get another hair cut like it since.

Hi Albear,

first things first....you husband is a lovely guy!!

I'm so sorry your hair did'nt turn out as you would have liked it too.  I had this happen to me very recently and it was such a big bummer

Any chance of having someone re-do the do??

I sure hope your feeling better!!

Ive been there girl. You tell the stupid hairdress what you want and she does the exact opposite. Then you hafta figure out what to do with the mess until it grows out again. I feel you pain sweetie. Hang in there!

(you may not want to consider it but weave is a wonderful thing. Suggestion)
