Hello all, I am new to the group and looking forward to researching RA. I have been on Enbrel almost 5 years now. While it was a "mini-miracle" in the beginning now I am back to having more bad days then good and wondering if maybe a change in meds is needed. My knees are painful and make it so hard to rise from a sitting position, my shoulders and hips hurt but since I have also gained weight I'm thinking that could be the main reason why. Also, I've got a nasty rash where a bra strap would be and have tried many different cremes and powders but it keeps coming back. Just wondering if anyone else has this type problem and/or if the Enbrel lost its effectiveness for them also? Thank you.
Don't really have any suggestions about the rash; but wanted to say Welcome to AI. Glad you're here.
Sounds as if Enbrel is not working as well as it was in the past. Is this sudden or has you discussed it with your doctor. 5 years was a good run with it though. Sadly many don't get that much use out of it before having to switch to something else.

It does sound as Lovie said that you may need a change of meds. I was on gold injections and they seemed to work but all of a sudden i felt so ill and sore and the doc changed me to Humira
Its a bit like swings and roundabouts but the Enbrel did work for a long time for you whch is a blessing.
