Oh Gracious Kathy! How on earth did they get that? Are they in daycare? Sure hope they won't have too hard a time of things.
Hope you stay well yourself Sweetie. Take Care.
oh my kathy, that fever is too high. i'm surprised the doctor didn't admitwaht is mono?
My daughter remains undiagnosed after 9+ months of fever spikes, severe bouts of pain and unexplained inflammtion - rheumy is talking Periodic Fever Syndrome of some sort. obvously really rare as they can't name it or find the right treatment at this stage.
All is good now though - she has been reasonably well for 3 weeks - longest period of "wellness" for a looong time. yay!
Hope your kids are ok Kathy!! thinking of you all..
Nelly
Oh Kathy I hope the kids get well soon! How scary that fever was!!!
Yay! You have a Liz!!
Nelly...here is a link for you that explains what mono is. Call your doc and see of your daughter's blood was tested for it. http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/infections/common/mononucleos is.html
We have no clue where they got it. Ally is in preschool 3 mornings a week, but none of the kids there are sick.. no day care..
jake has been asleep most of the day.. and he wont eat, just wants his bottle. Ally isnt interested in any food or drink, I've got pedialyte popsicles for them..
Now I'm coughing up my lungs and my head is killing me. this is the first time I've felt sick since I've been on Remicade.
last time we had 2 sick kids was in 1982 when Liz and Becky had chickenpox.. wow how soon we forget LOL weve always been lucky the kids were quite healthy.
For those with kids spiking high fevers, also keep an eye for these symptoms:

I don't want to scare anybody, but I was extremely hard to diagnose with Adult Still's. I wouldn't get paranoid about it, but it is good to know the symptomology when you're arthritic and have children (tho' they say that RA doesn't necessarily mean you'll ever have a JRA child).
