A friend has recently started on Humira but is having very high & fluctuating temperatures and while it helped a lot with swelling is thinking of coming off because of this.
Anyone else had a similar problem. I have been on Humira for awhile and only had a problem with a temp if I had a sinus infection, a virus, or when I had pneumonia.  It is very important that your friend calls their rheumy as soon as possible lets them know what is going on!!!  I am glad tho that it is helping with all swelling and your friend is doing well in that manner.  But please, have them call about the fevers!!Thanks GM - she has been in hospital for a week re the fevers and is thinking of coming right off it.   She was having bad flares and it was helping with those.   I am fortunate in not having to go on those more toxic drugs but she is in a bad way and it was helping her flares but
was causing so many other problems.
The hospital are keeping a close eye on her but it all seems a neverending battle at times.
Appreciated your response.

If she's having fevers she needs to get off of it from what I know.  fever indicates infection, thus stopping Humira.  I was on it for 2 years. Took myself off after 2years of constant infections, shingles, fungus of the milk duct (I've been alive for 47 years and have never heard of "Fungus of the milk duct".)

I'm in transition mode.  Got an appt. with a new RA......
