Pelvic joints? | Arthritis Information

This is probably a dumb question, but yesterday I started having pain in what I can only describe as my pelvic joints (???).  The pain is in my groin, where the thighs meet the pelvic bone and from what I've been able to find online, there are joints there.  Usually any problems with that area are experienced by pregnant women due to the weight of their abdomens.  Has anyone else had joint pain in this area?

Several days ago my right shoulder (which has never been "involved" in my RA) was so painful I couldn't move my arm away from my body without pain...the left one was slightly painful but the right one was a 12 on a scale of 1-10!  They both settled down the next day, and now I have this groin thing going on.

Pain in the groin actually comes from the hip joint, I'm afraid.  I know it doesn't seem like it, but according to my doctor it is a very common complaint for those who have hip joint involvement.

You should mention it to your doctor on your next visit, he may want to do xray's or an MRI to see what is going on in there.

Just baby yourself and take care of that joint - don't push it by carrying anything heavy or doing a lot of walking/climbing of stairs until you see your doctor.  Good luck - hope it is something that goes as quickly as it came!

Wow - I would never have thought that!  Thanks for the insight.  Yes, I'm hoping it goes away soon too.

It is so frustrating to think, okay, this is what I have to deal with, I can deal with it...and then WHAM! there's something else....
