I took my first treatment of MTX yesterday (12 mg) along with 10mg of Prednisone.
I'm feeling slightly nauseated and feel somewhat better after I eat something, but then the feeling returns. Also have a somewhat 'metalic' taste in my mouth. Are these side effects from one or both of these medicines? Can I expect them to disappear as I get used to them?

MTX will make me a little nausious sometimes. I took mine yesterday and have felt like that off and on most of the day. Never totally sick.....but icky and tired most of the day. I usually take in on Saturday's so I'll have Sunday to nap and veg out if I need to......but I didn't this week.I take 20 mg MTX and 10 Prednisone. Someone on here gave me the advise to take the MTX at night at bedtime. This was great advise! I was getting sick with the MTX, but now I have dinner, wait a little bit, take my MTX and hit the sheets. No more getting sick. I am tired the next day, but I can deal with that....
Maybe I misunderstood my RD. I thought I was to take 5 pills of MTX on one day, but spread them out throughout the day. Maybe I should be taking them all at once at bedtime? Flamingo, what dose of MTX are you taking? 12 mg cannot be divided into 5
