RA verses PA | Arthritis Information

Do RA and PA progress in the same manner?   In studying PA lately I found that it progresses slowly early on and gets worse later in the disease.  RA can be most destructive the first 2 years so I think they don't progress the same.Chris, Have RA/PA/OA and PA usually starts out slowly and the damage is ongoing.  RA I don't know about because in my case I was diagnosed with a severe onset of RA and damage was rapid and violent. One day I couldn't walk and within a week I had a diagnosis.  I was diagnosed with PA  years later and the damage seemed to occur at a slower pace.  For me the pain from  PA is worse than the RA pain.  I don't know why, maybe it's the joints that are affected.  Maybe the joints that are the most painful have been diagnosed with RA at one time and PA later on.  It's very complex but the RA meds seem to work on the PA also.  As usual it's different for each of us.
