Hey all. It's been a couple of years since I've had stomach issues (GERD). I started Methotrexate injections this past weekend and my GERD seems to have resurfaced. I went to my GP today and he prescribed me Previcid to take daily. He said it would be fine to take this with the Methotrexate and Plaquenil. Is there anyone else on here that takes Methotrexate who also take a proton pump inhibitor such as Methotrexate? If so have you had any issues with the two?I've been on Protonix for a few years, and started mtx about 6 weeks ago. I haven't noticed any problems....have you heard of any?I took Protonix and MTX for several years. Never had a problem.
I have been taking Prevacid w/Methotrexate for 4 years. Really helped a lot. In the beginning I took 1 in the am and one at bedtime but I have now graduated to 1 in the morning.
But, I am no longer on MTX, as I became allergic over the years. However, I still take the Previcid and its helped me deal with stomach probs from other meds.
