Drug trial for Rituxen?? | Arthritis Information

 

Is anyone here on a drug trial for Rituxen?? I am to go talk to my doc's research lady, (its right next to his office) about starting a drug trial for my RA using the drug Rituxen...Was wondering if anyone else was on it or using it..what the side effects are and so on.. I used to be a member here a long time ago under the nic prizm...this site has changed a lot and i have missed you guys!! There was a very nice frined i had here named Carol who was a teacher of little ones ( 1 st graders i think)..If you still here Carol please say howdy ok.. I have lost track of you and wondering how you are doing.. hugs Kit~

Just goes to show how many promising meds there are out there that we can switch and change to if things arent working. Thats certainly a positive! But yes new drugs are being found  a lot these days but if no one takes part in the trials they will never make it to the people who so desperatly need them >>>>US<<<<< But it is somewhat scary going into a drug trial not knowing what may happen. Whcih is why I was wanting some info on this drug. Actually this drug is already in use by some Rheumy's, and doing very well. My Doc is really big into research and half of his huge buliding is dedicated to research. In fact he is the protical doctor they call on for anyone in the country who is on Remicade and having side effects because he headed the research on it before it was approved by the FDA....He is a wonderful doctor and i am soooooooooooo blessed to have him, for real..i love him!! He said this med is actually for cancer patients who have Non-Hodgkins Lmptnotic cancer.( I'm a horrible speller sorry)..Anyhow any info anyone has would be awesome!!
