Should I get an FMLA | Arthritis Information

First, I want to say this site is a God send. Reading these posts have shown me that I'm not crazy about the way I've been feeling lately. I was diagnosed with inflammatory polyarthritis (undifferentiated) in early March. Before the diagnosis and meds I left work early and called out several times because of the pain and stiffness in my fingers and wrists. My supervisor is pressuring me to get a FMLA because she feels that I am out too much. I don't really want one because I want to stay motivated to get out of the bed. Am I being stubborn. Should I get one? The meds predisone and generic plaquinil are allowing me to go to work regularly now. I may drag some days,(which my co-workers comment about) but I make it in. Is it good to have one just in case?Absolutely.  It is a great protection in case you need it. I have it for my self and for my husband. I often need to drive him to Dr's appointments since he is leaglly blind. and a type 1 diabetic for 30 years. I have used it for years. You can use as little as half an hour at a time in case you are feeling ill and need a little extra time in the morning. it providesa for 12 weeks unpaid in a rolling calander year.
