Hi all, I posted about wanting to take mtx 'a day' early, as I was getting stiff, had that 'I need the meds' feeling (can't describe it in words, but I know the feeling!) but, my doc's nurse said no, don't take it early but to increase the prednisone (I"m at 5mgs) to 7.5. She said, "I know you are trying to get off of it" ....da ya think!!, so I took the 2.5 mgs more of pred yesterday, and the mtx today, will see how I do. Feeling very tired, and my back aches after bending over my art board for 3 hours.

Hi Sarah, sorry you're feeling so lousy and hope the extra Pred. works fast . God Bless You, Genesissarha, i am in a similar situation, was suppose to decrease pred,from 15-10mg, i called asked my doc if i could increase my mtx. as i am only at 10mg per week, and not seeing results yet . she said no,wait to increase mtx.after she sees me on the 24, but that i could take 15mg pred. I am inpatient,and sick of feeling sick, but will do as they say. the pred. is helping greatly, for now, but i dont want to be on it too long. i think you and i are feeling the same"c'mon lets get this medicine working so we can get off pred. and feel better!":)
