Hello

I have not been around because I have been taking my LorTabs and they make me sleep or feel lightheaded or even drunk. So, I just lay in the bed and sleep and watch tv. Do not feel like doing anything. I mostly have been taking them towards the evening when my pred starts to wear off. My feet and ankles have just been horrible. I cannot stand long, walking is a task. My feet and ankles are swelled and sometimes my toes got a purple tint to them, but that is when I have the most pain. My hands they have not been well either. Up until a few days ago I could not touch my fingers to the palm of my hand and I could not really use my hands for anything.

I can really tell the difference in my mood and how I react to things when I am not in pain or have pain to think about. I tend to let things slide and I do not get irritated as much versus me without pain meds.

I decided to take the LorTabs because I was in sooo much pain and it was literally driving me nutz. Dealing with the pain for over a month straight finally took its toll on my mind. I was to the point of literally banging my head against the wall. My hubby had to make me stop hitting my head on the wall. I kept asking hubby if he was going to commit me and if you could go crazy from pain. He gave me a LorTab and I went to sleep and woke up in a better mood.

All the pain, lack of ROM, and swelling and lack of sleep finally took its toll on me. Oh and moving and having "people" say I need to be helping out in the moving department. I wanted to help move and get the trailor ready to sell, but there is only so much I can do. Heck... I go days without brushing my hair because I cannot brush it! Let alone help move and clean house.

I did call RD for a pred dose pak, but I called the pharmacy to see if it was called in and they said no. So, I just keep taking my LorTabs. But yesterday I called to see if RD had called me in a refill for my 5mg prednisone until I get to see him at the end of the month, and they said I had a RX to pick up. So I go to pick it up and it is my pred dose pak from the 24th of April that they claimed they did not get. Now they said they did not get my refill for my 5mg of pred.

The moving well... it is done. My mom and sisters came to help me clean up the trailorand get it ready to sell. It took them 2 hours to get it nice and tidy. And then me and my mom stayed and I wiped off counters, and my mom cleaned the bathrooms and I mostly sat there and watched. I did do a little bit of the painting in the kitchen not much though. SO, now it is done! Maybe that is why I feel better today because I do not have that hanging over my head, and I do not have to hear anyone else saying what I "should" be doing.

I have not took a LorTab today, but I have not had much pain today. I just have slight swelling, lack of ROM and some other stuff that I can deal with. Plus have not been on my feet much today.

I took my Humira last Sunday and my neck and back has not been bothering me like they were before taking my Humira again.

We got a new puppy. Its name is Snowball. He is part lab and he is white. Cute little thing. He pissed on the carpet the other night when son let him in... the dog better have felt glad that I had a LorTab in me otherwise I probably would have been pissed he pissed on the carpet. But I was all mellowed out and did not really care

Well... now all I need to do is unpack. My mom and sister are suppose to come over this Thursday to help me unpack. My mom while she was here Friday helped me clean the house. We done all the laundry, and straightened up some of the mess and she washed the dishes for me.

Well, I am going to go to bed. I am sleepy. Have not napped much today like I have been doing.

I might be around more not sure. Depends on how I feel and I run out of LorTabs soon, I only have 5 left out of 20.

joonie39208.0780324074Hi Joonie, nice to see you back, I had wondered if things were Ok with you.   Sorry to hear that you've been having such a rough time, and it's great that you've had you Mum & sister around to help you.

Now that is all over, as you say, it's not hanging over your head any more.  It's been a hectic time for you, the excitement and stress of moving into your new place, and is certainly no good health-wise.  We all know what stress does for our pain levels!!

I hope that the improvement in your level continues, and that you feel on top of things again really soon.

We could do with a few laughs!!   Things have been getting a bit serious lately!!!

Hey Joonie- good to see you on here

Take Care

Hey Joonie!! Missed ya girlie!  Glad the move is almost done.  Post pics of your new puppy.  Hope your feelin better

We both started Lortabs at the same time.  Instead of being sleepy I'm jazzed up with them and have been doing housework, shopping, and walking in the evening.  Like you, I had  terrific pain for about 8 weeks and Ultram and Tramadol didn't touch it.  After my first dose of Lortab I realized that I should have done this sooner.  I literally didn't have any pain, even my knees that are going to be replaced felt good.  My internist and RD insisted that I try Lortabs because of the pain.  My BP has been elevated due to pain.  I loooove the Lortabs, in fact I hope I don't love them too much or I might be posting to the forum from the local drug rehab.

Glad to see you're doing better.  I haven't been this painfree in years. How about you?

Hi Joonie, So good to see you back! As you can see, everyone misses you a bunch when you're gone.

So glad you are feeling better. I was a bit worried that the move might be a problem for you. I'm so glad you have something for the pain.

Don't pay any attention to those that say mean things to you. You would obviously be doing more if you could. Unfortunately, there are always people who think they know what we should do, who have never been in this position.

Be well, Hugs,

Nini

Hey LinB,

No, I have not been painfree like I am when on LorTabs. I just do not like to take them because of how they make me sleepy and I have a 2 year old son I tend to thru the day, and I take IBU thru the day until my hubby gets home from work. I gave into taking them because I could not stand the pain and everything else and it helped me to feel better.

I also have slightly elevated BP because of pain. I might see about finding me a pain management specialist to help me with my pain and all. I know hubby and the kids loved me on LorTabs, I would not the raving banshee I usually am and I know hubby liked that
