Has anyone had both ankles fused ?? | Arthritis Information

 

 I may have to have surgery, again on the other ankle one is already fused and now I need do the other one, afraid I wont be able to walk ? Any one out there had both done ?

I cannot help with the ankle fusion questions but just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you.

   Find the Yahoo ankle fusion discussion board, you would be surprised how many people have had the ankle fusions..

I had six of them, 2 sub-talor fusions each, and 2 triple arthodesis fusions...The left foot has came out pretty good, the right foot has some broken hardware, and so far, looks like i can put off getting a rebuilt foot, and ankle replacement, with the good orthotics i have,for that right foot..Sure i can walk, standing is a little hard, walking is better than that. I will never walk good distances, but enough to shop, and drive some..
