And to think we can not wait until we can get out and be warm!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know the feeling of getting hot and sweaty at the store and you start to feel weak.

I'd sugget using the carts if they have them in the big store like Walmart. You know the things you can ride around in.

Saves your energy. Be sure and tell your Doctor and may this sort of thing not happen again, ever!

~KewaneeSorry to hear of your awful experience.  It's such an "out of control" feeling that's so scary - Kewanee's advice is good - talk to your Dr. Sorry to hear that Georgina

How is your heart? Those symptoms can reflect heart issues as well.

I have developed an irregular heart beat since starting on the prednisone which has sent me to the ER several times.

Check your B.P. also. Sometimes in heat the B.P. will drop and you feel like your exptremely weak. Especially if you haven't had enough liquids.

Keep cool!

Karen

I can feel for you.   I sweat so with the prednisone.  I am 2 mg now.  I just came in from chopping down a dogwood bush from about 5 ft to 1 ft. and I am dripping wet.  I don't feel weak though.   And in the stores, I start to sweat and the sweat drips.

I do feel light headed though every once in awhile when I get up in a hurry after sitting for an hour or so.  I used to do that before I got the thyroid medicine, and now it is back.  I always blamed it on low blood pressure.  It used to happen at church when you would get up and down quite a bit at the first part of the sermon.

Hope you are feel better.   Mary

I googled "SWEAT PREDNISONE" and got back to some posts on this forum including some posts by me. I have the feeling that it is not prednisone that causes the sweating but the PMR. If you visit http://arthritisinsight.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4097&a mp;PN=1 you can read some postings. Some think it is the combination PMR and prednisone. My sweating has come back at a lower dosage of prednisone (now 5 mg) so I doubt it is the prednisone.

I am now down to 6mg/day prednisolone and having hot flushes several times a day and night sweats again. I cannot bear hot rooms or any heat on in the house. It is like my thermostat has broken!

Love Judi xx
