Anyone else take prednisone and find out their periods are getting heavier and longer?
Last time i stopped pred, my period was 26 days. When i stopped it, instantly it stopped. I started it up a couple days later and it started again.
Anyway, im on a taper now and worried, my uterus hurts and i really don't want that happening again.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.
From what I've read, pred is meant to make your periods lighter and can cause them to stop completely. I've never heard to anyone having the reaction you've had. I think you need to go to the doctor and get them to check you over. Ok so glad Danielle is not allowed to read this board. Can Naproxen make her period longer? Does the blood thinning that can happen with it cause that? Poor kid has had her period for like 2 weeks. I pulled her off the Naproxen and it is finally going away. She started when she was on pred (10mg) along with the naproxen. I pulled her pred...made no difference. I need to get her back on the naproxen because she is miserable. I have found that pred has made my period super light. The first high dosage I took almost cut it off completely. I take bc pills and skip my periods all together so can't really say. Naproxen has made my cycle go from 21 days to 36 days - very strange but if it means less period for me I will take it!
