Flexeril question | Arthritis Information

Has this worked for anyone? My rheumy told me to take 20 mgs. at night and it's supposed to help me sleep and help with my muscle aches. It's done neither. I'm wondering if it's helped someone. Maybe I need to increase the mgs.?I'm not sure how many mg I'm taking....but I take it at night and it does help me. I have been taking it for about 3 yrs now and it works wonderfully for me. I take 10mg at night and occasionally one during the day if muscle spasms in my back get too bad. Before I was diagnosed and put on all these other meds, I was taking 20mg at night to help with sleep.

I bet I'm taking 10 mg. I'll double check mine tonight....but it's good to know it's ok to take 20mg if I ever have to.

I take it with tramadol at the same time. I have bad problems with my back at times.....and here lately pretty much everyday. It does help. (For me anyway).

I have heard many people say it doesn't help them though.

I take 20 mg at night and occasionally i will take 1 during the day depending on how i am feelin.  My RD precribed it for me for my fibro and I do notice a diffence in how i am feelin since being on it.  Although, it doesn't make me sleepy .  But thats how i am w/ every pain killer/muscle relaxer.  They dont make me tired.  Usually the will wire me up.  How long have you been taking flexeril?  Sometimes it needs to build up in your body before it starts working.20mg????? Wow, 10 mg knocks me on my butt. But I guess 20 would give
you a good night sleep. I take it occasionally when I'm really stiff and it
works good for that.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I appreciate it.

Grammaskittles, I've been taking it for about 3 weeks. I stopped a couple of nights ago because it wasn't doing anything.

Kelsaysmommy, I think it gets me wired too. I tried it during the day and it didn't make me one bit sleepy.

My body seems to be very resistant to drugs. Dang it....
