Hi Everyone, Hope all mothers have a wonderful pain free day so you can enjoy your family and friends!!! It's beautiful here in the N.C. Blue Ridge Mtns, warm, sunny, and breezy!! Hope it's nice where you live. On another note....my sister that is in the rehab hospital gets to come home today with a three hour pass but has to go back this afternoon. I would be sooo happy but she still isn't doing well. They think she may have other compressed fractures in her back, her pain is so intense and her breathing is terrible. She will probably be sent back to regular hospital for another MRI in the morning. Please pray she can be helped, she is getting so discouraged. Three weeks in the hospital and is no better! It seems like she takes 1 step forward and 3 steps backward. Thanks for listening.......GenesisThanks Genesis! It is beautiful here outside of Fort Worth, Texas too!

I am so sorry to here that your sis is still having so much pain. I pray they will be able to locate the source and fix it. Have a great day!!!!

Happy Mom's Day to all of you.

It's very hot here in Yuma.  Has been 98 degrees in the shade.  Everything is in bloom and the flowers are beautiful.  The palms are bright green and the fields are planted are lots of different shades of green with the spring growth.  Have lots of hummingbirds feeding and doves nesting in our palms and planters.

Happy Mother's Day!  I am glad you sister does get to home for a bit.  I know you want her home all the time, but let her get better first.  I hope all shows well with the MRI.

It is a pretty day here in Milwaukee.  Sunshine-y and breezy.  Trees have finally bloomed!!

Happy Mom's day to everybody.

Hope that it is filled with family and the making of good memories.

Genesis, don't knoe you but will say some prayers for your sister.

Hi to Lin B. Haven't been posting to much as I had to change my screen name from Marisa sue to just Marisa due to login trouble and PC trouble too.

Hi back to you Marisa, PM me and let me know how you're doing.  I was wondering about you and hoping you were doing good.  Genesis, Happy mothers day to you too.   It was nice but breezy here in
Southwest Montana. Had large hail this afternoon. I have a question about
our sister. Is she on miacalcin for her back?

Lorster, I don't know of this med but I will find out in the morning. What is it for and what does it do? Barbara stayed home for 5 hrs today and had lunch with family and it was great but her pain meds were beginning to wear off so she had to get back. Hopefully the MRI tomorrow will not show anymore compressed fractures in her back. She really is in bad shape and I know they will up her pred level again tomorrow because of her breathing...... Montana must be very beautiful compared to pictures I've seen, my ex lives in Co. and it is very  beautiful too.  Hope you had a great day too, the grad. picts were great! You have a beautiful family.......Gen

If you have been diagnosed with osteoporosis, and are interested in a
treatment option—consider the following questions:

Do you like the ease of a nasal spray to treat osteoporosis?

Do you suffer from heartburn or stomach pain or have difficulty
swallowing?

Do you take medications for conditions other than osteoporosis?

Do you start your day by eating breakfast and/or drinking juice, coffee or
tea?

Do you have difficulty sitting upright?

Do you want a medicine with a convenient dosing schedule?

If you've answered yes to one or more items, ask your doctor about
MIACALCIN Nasal Spray.

One of the best things about MIACALCIN Nasal Spray is that it's so easy to
use. MIACALCIN Nasal Spray can stop bone loss and help your bones
become stronger. It's easy and convenient—just one spray, once a day in
alternate nostrils. You can take it anytime, anywhere, with meals or other
medications. Because MIACALCIN gets into your bloodstream through
your nasal passages, not your stomach, it's unlikely to interfere with other
medications or cause stomach upset.

WHY MIACALCIN Nasal Spray?

IT'S EASY TO USE

MIACALCIN Nasal Spray is a very fine mist of medication that is sprayed
into the nostril. But, unlike a nasal spray for a stuffy nose, MIACALCIN
Nasal Spray doesn't have to be inhaled, and it's barely noticeable. The
mist is quickly absorbed through the lining of your nose and goes directly
into your bloodstream. Because MIACALCIN Nasal Spray doesn't enter the
stomach, it's unlikely to cause an upset stomach or other digestive
complaints.

IT'S CONVENIENT

Just one spray, once a day in alternate nostrils and you're done. You can
take MIACALCIN Nasal Spray before, during or after meals, which means it
can fit into your schedule. Plus, you can take the spray with you if you
travel, and you can use it at any time during the day.

Only your doctor knows what medicine is right for you. Please ask your
doctor about MIACALCIN Nasal Spray.

MIACALCIN Nasal Spray is a prescription medication recommended for the
treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis in women more than 5 years
after menopause who have low bone mass, and who refuse or cannot
tolerate estrogens, or in whom estrogens are not an option. MIACALCIN
Nasal Spray should be used along with adequate amounts of calcium and
vitamin D every day.

As with other prescription medications, you may experience side effects
when using MIACALCIN Nasal Spray, such as nasal symptoms (runny
nose, crusting, nosebleed, etc), back, and/or joint pain, or headache. If
you experience any side effects, please contact your doctor. Also, because
MIACALCIN Nasal Spray is a protein, the possibility of a systemic allergic
reaction exists. Patients who are allergic to calcitonin-salmon should not
use MIACALCIN Nasal Spray.

For further information, please consult the complete Prescribing
Information.

We use it alot on women who have osteoporosis and it works well. Takes
a while but once working, women see a big improvement in their back
pain. It strengthens bones too.

I live in a beautiful part of the state, about 60 miles north of Yellowtone
park. The picture was taken in my back yard so it is really green here
right now.

Thanks Lorster,I will pass this along to Barb  and she can ask her Dr. , sounds like it could help her. I appreciate all the tips and advise all of you here give. It is very comforting to  us who are new to this  disease..........Gen
