40lbs of Ice and a Tub | Arthritis Information

I am thinking of having hubby drive the way to town when he gets home from work and buy me 40lbs of ice (they have 20lb bags of ice for .50) to put in that big garden tub that use to be in the bathroom. It is so dry and humid here, it is not that hot, but the humidity is making me sticky and I have already had my shower for today. I so do not want to turn on the window unit.

Oh wait... I forgot we have a pool outside, but it did sound like a nice cold, refreshing, wake you up way to cool off I wish I had a pool for the summer...just don't have a big enough backyard. Besides, I have 2 Great Pyrenee's, 1 Bassett Hound, a cat, and a 3 yr old. Might be too much to deal with.  We have an inground pool, but right now it looks like Swamp Thing is going to pop out of it!  We've already put a ton of chemicals in it, vacuumed it and still it's green, green, green.  UGH!   We do not have pools here, but if we did we would still be ice skating on it,
lol. It has been cool here. I can't wait for the heat of summer. I hate
winters here.We don't have a pool at the house but there's a brand new Y a mile from me and I just got back from the pool.  The temp. is 97 degrees and the pool was 88 degrees.  Absolutely perfect on these poor ole bones.  I'm sorry Lorster, it will be warm there soon.

Hi all, We had a pool for eleven years but when the kids began sports and dating the pool just ate up chemicals and electricity. So we filled it in with good garden soil and I had a beautiful little vegetable garden  with loads of fresh produce. I don't  anymore garden since my heart attack but I sure did enjoy it!.... Gen

Hillhoney do you use chlorine or Bacqusil? Do you think you may have mustard or black algae?... They  both were a major pain for me... Gen
