Hi, My name is Deb and I am new to the message board. I'm a 46yro with what my Rhumy is calling Inflammatory Arthritis, along with Polyarticular arthritis. I am new to this as he just diagnosed me in Dec 2004. This new "arthritis" has seemed to have gotten quite a hold of me. I have it in both ankles, knees, hips, toes(on both feet), and the lower joints of my fingers. Right now I take the max of MTX, 5mg of predisone, folic acid, darovcet and soon(in the next 2 weeks Humaria). I just finished a medrol dose pak. My last CRP done on 6-30 was 5.5. I have never felt such pain. I was diag. with fibro about 15 yrs ago. I have been tested for Ra and Lupus, but both are neg. What do yall think, because I have no clue what to think any more!

Welcome Deb,

Inflammatory arthritis could be a number of different forms of Arthritis, RA included. There are many folk here on the boards, myself included, which have been classed as seronegative when tested for RA, but are considered to have RA anyway. Rheumatoid can be very good at hiding itself, it seems.

You'll meet a lot of great people here, so once again, WELCOME.

Hi Dagda,

Thank you for welcoming me to the boards. I have not gotten alot of answers(from Dr's) ,as this all hit me so fast. I find the boards very informative. I look forward to posting as time progresses.

Thank you again!
Deb, So sorry you are having so many problems at once.  Your Rheumy does seem to be treating you aggressively.  The Biologic you will start on soon should help but may take some time.  He/she may have to up your dose of prednisone till your meds kick in...usually a couple of months.   Yours sound like RA.  One thing I have tried for the fatigue of Fibro has been Provigil.  It's wonderful.  No side effects and eleminates the fatigue and brain fog.  I even sleep better at night.  Dear, hope things get better for you soon.  Check in with regularly on the RA boards and let us know how you are doing!  Interoduce yourself there.  You'll get many more responses and the people are wonderful.   They have helped me so much and will do the same for you.
