I have not finished painting my bedroom completely so no new pics of it. But I did make my bed just to take a pic of it for ya'll, since Pin Cushion and a couple of others mentioned beds.

I bought my bed last October, spent about 00 on it. Probably the best thing I have ever bought. I LOVE my bed, I use it all the time, I probably spend half of my day in it. My in-laws thought I was bonkers for spending that much on a queen size bed, but I need to have a comfortable bed. It is a Serta the Vera Wang edition. It was on sale and the 2nd cheapest that they had. I really wanted this one where it the bed stayed cool in the hot and was warm when it was cold, it had some kind of threads in the top layer that made the mattress do that , but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend.

My bedroom colors are similar to the colors of my bedspread. You see the teal in my bedspread and remember the color of my bathroom? Well, that paint that is in my bathroom was meant for my bedroom, but we decided it would have been a bit tooo busy for the bedroom.

Joonie, that bedspread is gorgeous!  It looks so rich and luxurious.  The little goober in the front is pretty cute too, LOL!Joonie, I love the bedspread. And it is important to have a comfortable bed.
I too spent an arm and a leg on a good Simmons beauty rest back care. I
love it too. Ok everyone, guess we all need to talk about what color our
bedrooms are, lol.

Oh my bedspread I got at Freak-Mart. I saw it one day while pasting by the aisle and I just had to have. I looked at the price and it was so... I could not afford it. I just kept keeping an eye out for when they would do clearence and about 3 months later they clearenced it for , more my price! PLUS it was the last one they had in queen size so it was, either.... not buy it and hope I find it on sale at another Freak-Mart or buy it and get something I REALLY wanted. SO, I told hubby to put it in the cart and I bought it. It is really soft, it is kinda like velvet, it might be velvet, says dry clean only.

My bedroom wall color is cadet blue, but looks like a grey until you put somethign grey next to it then it looks a little blue. And my mantel in my bedroom is painted I forget what it is called, but it picks up the shine in my bedspread for when the light hits it.

Oh yeah!! My bedspread also came with a dust ruffle too. I just did not put it on yet as I want to mop the floor before I put my dust ruffle on.

I'm not thrilled with this color blue. I wanted blue....but not Carolina Tarheel Blue. We may soon be painting it.

I love my mattress (comfort aire number bed) I will have to work another 2 years to recoup from this purchase, it is wonderful. my bedroom is a dark toast brown, with a gold and cream satin bedspread.  will post picture when I get home from work

MaeMae39217.4854513889I love the kid...how cute is that!My son tends to think when the camera is out he has to be in the picture somewhere. He will say "Take my picture, Mommy." And then he will want to view it on the camera screen to make sure he is in it, if he does not see himself in it he makes me take a picture of him in it. He is sooo demanding, I guess he is getting prepared for becoming a guy. Okay...here is a pic looking from LR/DR/KItchen and a pic of my bedroom. I love my bedroom. It is very cozy...the lighting is like a lounge. Blessed39217.677337963Lisa - your bedroom is pretty! I love it!Blessed, you have My area rug in your living room  and almost my sofa! Mine is a little darker, chestnut brown, and my bedroom is a warm toast color on top and dark raspberry on bottom with border in the middle. I think we like the same colors. I love your b-room!!!

Thanks everyone...me and my sister-in-law had just put the sand box in the backyard and put the sand in it. With in 5 minutes ( I kid you not) they were both totally naked enjoying sand as God had intended. I had to take the pics...he's going to kill me when he's grown. lol  [QUOTE=Phatgirl2]

That is too funny that three of us have or had the same rug. It's so wild to think of y'all all spread out over the country and world. It's so strange to be talking to someone in the UK, Japan or somewhere else in the world. The internet can really be an awesome thing! Lisa.....your floorplan looks SO much like a house DH and I nearly bought. Oh goodness, I can't remember the builder (this was over 4 years and two kids ago. LOL) We didn't buy it because it was WAY out in Corinth, and we didn't work anythere NEAR I decided that it was worth it to live closer to downtown Dallas and have a smaller home

Can you come decorate my house though??? It's like one huge blank canvas!!! LOL

Hi MsMidge...your really close! The builder of my home was GoldStar Homes. I'm very happy with it other than I would like a little more sq ft. I'd be afraid to try to decorate someone's home. I must have bought and took back a hundred times before I actually decided what I wanted. lol

Here's a photo of my gazebo bedroom.  My poor hubby just goes along with my crazy ideas, but he says he likes them when we're done, thank goodness!

Hillhoney, who did the art on the wall? It is beautiful. OH man I wish I had
some talent like that

Thanks Lorster.  I painted it.  I did a window looking out on the beach in my daughter's room.  I'll take a photo of it and post tomorrow.

I love painting, it just isn't so easy these days.  I used to do quite a bit of set design and painting, but can't do as much now that "Ole Arthur" has come to town.

Oh how talented you are. I am so jealous I can't even draw a straight
line with a ruler. I would love to see more of your work.

Hillhoney,

WOW, you are so talented.  I *love* your bedroom.  What fabulous painting!  I'd love to see more of your work, too.  I, like Lorster, can't draw a straight line with a ruler.

Hill~that's really groovy!!

Love all the pictures of everyones houses. Very cool!

Okay, here are some photos from my daughter's bedroom (now a guest room since she's out on her own, sniff sniff)

Very Nice, Hillhoney!

Groovy! And Lovie with all of her Groovies, is going to be the first one to try out the nude beach

It was supposed to look like she was in a beach cabana, looking out the window at the water.  She had the room decorated with the mosquito netting, and other beachy things also, but has since taken most of it with her.
