A Small Town | Arthritis Information

Here are pics of the town I live in. I live in the middle of town. Not much here. We do have 4 peigeons that popped up when we became a town from a community. The peigeons mostly like to sit on the powerlines in our front yard or across the railroad tracks.

All these pictures are took from off my front porch or in the front yard.

This is the store that my in-laws use to own. Back in the day it was a train depot, until a train came off the tracks and ripped thru the building that use to be there. It was rebuilt, but the railroad company did not use it anymore so it became a convience store. This pic was took off the front porch.

This is what is considered the Middle of town. In this picture it is the water department to the left, the VFD & community club to the right.

Same place just off the front porch.

This is a picture of the ACTIVE railroad tracks right across the road from my house. I took this picture while standing on the porch.

I love small towns. Do you know everyone in town?

It is only loud when you are outside when they come by. Other than that I do not even notice them going by. My kids never woke up when they were babies when a train would go by. They are use to it. We all sleep like babies.

I know of people, but do not really know anyone. My in-laws and my hubby knows EVERYONE. I just know a few from when I went to church for a year and some I went to school with. I do not know many of the people because I am a hermit I love small town living too.  If it wasn't so far from my doc office we would move a little bit further north to the town where one of our friends live.  My dad was an engineer on the railroad and we would always know when he
was coming home when the whistle would blow. We would all race 4 blocks
down to the depot to walk him home. I love the sounds of trains because
this memory is so dear to me.

Lorster what a fun memory!!!  I dont have many good memories w/ trains but the few i do have remind me of my great-grandfather.   He used to work for the railroad way back in the day when they didnt go as fast and i kid you not he got hit 4 or 5 times.....the first time was cause his father was an idiot the other times was when he was workin for the RR....hmmmm maybe that explains everything
