I have been seeing my rheumy for a while now but havent found him helpful , but today he was like a changed man, he couldnt do enough for me, suggested lots of helful things and said if i needed anything in an emergency then to call the surgery..................so theres now hope.

Glad you are feeling better about him. That's good news.

That's great Lisa! That makes a world of difference.

Yay, Pinnie!! I am hope he continues to be helpful. Sometimes docs are so overwhelmed that they tend to just try to rush thru appts to get things done. I know that is how my RD I have now is. If I get an early morning appt, he usually listens to what I have to say and asks a lot of questions, but if I get an afternoon appt, it is like he is all drained out and out of thoughts and suggestions.

YAY!!!  That is awesome!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!!Lovie - 'call the surgery' is an English way of saying 'call the office' so in this instance the doctor is encouraging her to call for any reason.  You'll hear the term used in English dramas too when they say 'Dr. has surgery this afternoon' meaning, he is in the office seeing patients this afternoon.

Yes you are right Marigold, he did mean to call the office if i need anything. I need a translator
