I have been reading these posts and wanted to introduce myself. I am 28
years old, female, and have been experiencing all of the usual symptoms of
RA. I have ridiculous morning stiffness on both sides of my bady, fatigue,
and feel ill all of the time.

I went to a VERY bad rheumatologist last week who didn't listen to any of my
symptoms. I went back to my regular doctor. She was great! I had blood
work done and X-rays, and I will be going back next week for the results.
The last time I had blood work done, she said my SED rate was slightly
elevated which could have been the start of all of this.

It has been very nice to read posts of people who are having the same
symptoms I am--I know then I'm not crazy!   Thanks!Hi Natty...welcome!

I am sorry about the bad rheumy appt.  Unfortunately many of us go through multiple Dr's to find a good one.  It took me 3 to finally find one that treated me properly.

Take care and be sure to let us know the outcome of your tests.

Welcome to AI Natty. Hi Natty, welcome a board. Have you lined up a new RD yet. I would keep any appts with the first and start looking for a new Rheumy in the mean time. My RD was sooo awful that I left the office in tears. I
would NEVER see her again and I have filed a
complaint with my insurance co.

My regular DR has been awesome thus far and I
hope he will refer me to an RD when I get my results
back.I'm sorry your first experience with the RD didn't go well; but at least now you know you don't want to see that one anymore. If you are dx'ed with RA or another simular illness it's real important that you find a doctor you're comfortable with. It's a long term relationship and if you aren't happy with them you do not have to see them. Hi, Im new too! Welcome! I have already got alot of support and answers from these nice people!

Welcome to the board, Natty.

Hi Natty, and welcome.  Hope you get sorted with a new Rh. soon. Welcome. I'm really happy you have a good primary doctor. They are really harder to find than an RA doc. Hopefully your primary doc will recommend an RA doc she works well with. It will make your life much easier.Hi Natty, Welcome!! and sorry about your experience with the RA doctor, I don't understand what these doctors are thinking??? Sometimes you just have to keeep looking, even though you don't feel like it right now. If you feel like sharing your 'bad' experience I'd be real willing to listen....I've had 2 doctors so far as the first one I had was a real nut-case. I've also just dumpted a cardiologist from hell...so I sure understand what you are saying. I'm glad your GP is supportive. lv sarah
