Hi Everyone, Yes!! My sister finally got to come home after a MONTH in the hosp. We are so happy and so is she even though she is still in quite a lot of pain. She said she could hurt just as well at home as in the hosp. Her spirits are up and the pain meds do help her a lot, vicodin and zanaflex (anyone ever used this one?). They're also going to give her Boniva in an infusion with her Remicade in two weeks, hopefully to help her brittle bones. She's also down to 10mgs pred. Were keeping our fingers crossed on that one! Her blood sugar is still a little high and has to have 4 shots (5cc's each) a day. Pred. caused diabetes, grrrrrrrr !!! Her breathing is a little better also but has to use 4 dfferent inhalers, and will have in home PT three days a week. All in all not too bad. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. My family appreciates it...... GenesisThat is indeed wonderful news!  I hope she continues to get better. That's super - {{{{{cyber hugs}}}}} to you and your sister! That is terrific!  I am so glad she is home!  PLease keep us updated on her!Wonderful news for your sister and family.  Keep us posted.  Genesis...I am sooo tickled your sis is home. I remember you mentioning in a previous post that they were going to test her for more fractures in her spine, did they find anymore? I will continue to pray for you and yours.  Thank You All for the congrats, well wishes, and prayers for my sister. She is going back to her RD in a few days to set date for other MRI, the Rehab Hosp. Dr. released her with pain meds, tens(?) treatments, muscle relaxers, and plenty of inhalers....I guess she's just supposed to be a zombie til then. They're not sure of more compressed fractures Blessed, but the pain is in the same place again. The nurse let her fall on her tail bone getting into the shower so theres no telling whats happened.
