What is everyone paying for gas today. I just paid 3.28 a gallon for middle
octane. This is gonna be an expensive travel summer, yikes.Sunday it was at 3.45 for 87 octane.

.89 for a gallon of regular.

I just paid .29 for the cheap stuff!

Joonie and Honey, what state do you guys live in? I want to move there!

Paid .70 for diesel.Jersey. It's not too bad. We have friends who live on Long Island and they actually wait till they get to NJ to fill their tanks! We also have 'cheap' gas stations - called Valero or something. I don't go there because it's on the highway and the line is way long 3.34 for regular unleaded. We were 3.29 for regular unleaded yesterday. I live in Alabama. We get our gas from either Murphy Gas aka Wal-Mart gas or Jet Pep. Both are the cheapest for regular unleaded. Shell and Chevron are .95 for regular unleaded.I wonder if demand will go down as people are not going to want to pay that
much at the pump for vacations this summer. I know it is putting the
kabosh to some of my travel plans. Paid .79 for low grade at Kroger.
We have a 500 gal tank in our yard and buy in bulk for .85 for unleaded. We're going to ship all our gas from the North Slope to the states and then complain that we're getting screwed.

I own Chevron stock and get the dividen checks! Rah, so I have a diff perspective. If you read the news of Countries like Nigeria and how dangerous it is to get oil out of there and that crude has gone from to a barrel, and that Venesaula just taking over the Company's production, etc. You can understand the price of gas going up. Also, read the TAXes that are added to gasoline. (there was a law that you had to buy Texas and 'local' oil in the 60's when we could have bought foreign oil at we all paid , ) So there's always another side to the story....sarah
