Blood labs | Arthritis Information

I'm waiting to hear from my doc's nurse about this, but wondered if anyone had some insight. I saw my doc on Wednesday and had labs done and he had me schedule another one in 3 months (as usual due to MTX). Well I got a paper in the mail yesterday saying that I needed to do labs again in one month but with no explanation. I don't get it.Well, I heard from the doc and turns out a few of my blood tests came back abnormal so i have to have it checked again in a month. They said it could have been a mistake, though but just want to make sure and don't want to wait 3 months to check it again. Dangit.I"m sorry for you. Did they tell you exactly which tests came back abnormal? I always get a surge of nerves opening that envelope from my dr. about my labs. I think they were saying liver and kidney. But they were trying to be vague. She said it's nothing that bad that it was only slightly elevated. I dunno.

Well at least the doc is paying attention to your labs! You do have a right to know what is off. If you need to know ask!

I always prefer to know because sometimes you can do something to help yourself. Anemia sometimes reponds to more iron in your diet. Liver stuff - no drinking at all and maybe no tylenol.

My husband actually goes so far as to have the office workers make a copy of his labs.
