Do you really want to know about Al Gore's way to save energy?  Go to this website.  http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/gore home.asp

If you scroll down on the same page you can read about Pres. Bush's energy use.  Need we say more?

Yeah, you already said this. And I read it and obviously you didn't read it all.

ok...why can I not view it???  It keeps telling me the website cannot be found

oh, you're right. i read it when he posted it the FIRST time. don't know what the deal is now.Go to this address and compare Gore's home to Bush's.

First, there's more to it than that.

Also, doesn't sound like that is at ALL biased, does it? Why is it "Biased" if an opinion is different than yours?  Just asking.I'm talking about the verbiage in the "email" at that website. It overemphasizes the negatives on one side. That is called biased.Yeah, I read that the first time you posted it, too, and I also thought perhaps
you didn't bother to read the whole thing.

What is your point Gimpy, the facts don't change if you read the whole thing, Maybe Gore's house doesn't use  20 times more electricity than average just 10.  I am not sure what you are trying to say.  I read the whole thing.

I would think you and others would be glad Bush built a house by a renowned conservationist Architect and is trying to do the right thing at his ranch.  Are you so biased in your thinking you cannot see that?  No matter your opinion of him, he is making an effort and built a house that is way more environmentally friendly than most of our homes.

This just proves that most of you guys that have posted on these (both) threads don't want facts, just agreement with your position.

crispy39220.6315856481We're talking about the first thread - it has a different one that explained more at the bottom. You'd have to read that one to see what we're talking about probably.I read them both.  Explain your point!

Wow Bush's house is kinda neat!  I like that water system they use.  I saw that being built into a new home on one of those shows on TLC.

What I really got from that article is something that was stated I think in the original thread about Gore.  Sometimes people live in too much house.  I have said before that my sis in law and bro-in-law (very nice people and the only family I have) live in too much house.

Gramskit....A lot of people live in too much house, but they like that "Wow" when people walk in.  And a lot of people insist on a huge bathroom and I do not understand that either.  All you need a bathroom for is having a BM and taking a shower.  I guess they use it as a getaway or something.  And a huge bedroom?  I have a large bedroom, but not by choice.  Live and let live I guess. now & then39220.7438541667I'm not sure if any of you have been out shopping for building supplies for
energy efficient, green homes but these are extremely expensive homes to
build. Most Americans will NEVER afford to build this way. It is nice that
Bush has the means to do this. It really is the way to build and he is doing
something good for his environment. But, the reality is, these homes are
expensive and only a dream for most of us.I'm not sure if any of you have been out shopping for building supplies for

I am banned from home depot by order of the warden lol.  I can spend me some cash there lol.  I know trying to build green is very expensive and for the little guy like us...it is virtually impossible to do.  Which is really a rotten thing.  More people would probably do it if it was more affordable.  Too bad we can't make it a law that if you are building a house that costs more than a certain amount, then you have to build green because obviously you can afford to.  Let the rich people take up some of this slack instead of living for themselves and depending on the little people like us to make it all better for them.

Rant over.  lol.

Well, that article on the urban legends page said the Gores pay more for
"green power", which is renewable non-polluting power.

I think this is a useless debate, but since I'm here I'd also like to point out
the Gores run two businesses out of their home.

Bush' primary residence is the White House. So the article compares a
primary home with two businesses (and presumably employees) in it with
a secondary home with no businesses in it.

Bush house does sound groovy, though.

So my questions are:
What is John Kerry's house like, Honey?
And
How much energy is the White House sucking up?

Hahaha! Just kidding on the number two question, Republican Flamers, so
spare me your scathing personal remarks! I know it takes a lot of power
to run the country.Gimpy-a-gogo39221.4524652778Just read an article, I'd post it if i knew how. His home is 28,200 sq. ft. 102 acre property which is going to be (when finished) the most expensive (million) property in his county. Hmmm, 600sq.ft. bedroom, etc....But waht article? Is it on the same urban legends page? Can you give me a
clue? Or a url?

http://carolinajournal.com/exclusives/display_exclusive.html ?id=3848

Not sure if you want KErry's or Edwards. You're right, you did say Edwards.

That url didn't take me to any info on houses, but don't worry. I was only
slightly curious and it's already waned.
You can just do a search for "John Edwards Home", likewise for Kerry's except he has 5 homes. But then maybe we would have to start looking up Condoleza Rice's, Karl
Rove, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, other people...when will this house
comparing ever end?

How about cars? Should we start on that one soon? So much to do....so
much to do.....You could, but I don't think that Rice, Rove, Cheney or Clinton are constantly telling us the world is going to end if we don't cut our consumption - not like Edwards or Gore do. But you're right, this topic has definitely waned. They are building a home about 20 miles from me that is 55,000 sq feet. It
will cost 155 million when complete. It is on the Big sky Resort. A ski lift
will go right into the home and ther is an indoor/outdoor pool. The
driveway alone will cost 8 million. Now, this is piggery at its best. There
have been many letters to the editor recently at how ridiculous this is. It will
most likely be a home that the people spend 2 weeks a year in. The
edwards home is also on the piggery end of things. I just don't agree with
this. I feel our leaders should set an example, but then maybe it is their
only tax break, lol. Anyway, I like this thread. I sort of liken people like that to the women in my town who have one child, maybe two - no more - but they drive the biggest car on the road. Something like a Ford Excursion or Chevy Tahoe. WHAT FOR??? These women actually have squished their (I can't even call them cars) trucks down the street where I have to park waiting for my son to come out of school and have hit my side view mirrors twice already. I'd love to ask them why they need so much automobile but what's the point. A funny coincidence I've noticed here in suburbia (I like to call Stepford), the women with the biggest cars are usually the shortest in height. No kidding.
